2025 Leadership Team

ATAC is a volunteer driven organization and we thank our leaders for providing all of our great training, racing, and socializing opportunities. Our leadership team is elected at the Annual General Meeting.

PRESIDENT | martijn

Hi, I’m Martijn, originally from Breda and now proud to serve as ATAC’s President.
I joined the club in 2018 after my partner started cycling with a group of ATAC ladies who needed someone to block the wind. Shortly after I joined and I’ve stuck around ever since. My triathlon journey began after a night out ended with a hangover and a surprise registration for a 70.3. I couldn’t swim, didn’t own a bike, and couldn’t run more than 10k (still can’t!).
I’m inspired by those who refuse to give up—because grit beats talent when talent doesn’t show up

SECRETARY | neil

I’m originally from Scotland and have been a long-time resident of Amsterdam and ATAC. I grew up mountain biking before swapping the trails for road cycling, which eventually led me to triathlon. I learned to swim a bit and run (not too fast), and a few years later, completed my first triathlon. Since then, I’ve raced every distance from sprint to Ironman—though cycling remains my favourite. If I could give my 10-year-old self advice, it would be: “Stretch.” I’m inspired by the blind runner who beat me in an ultra, and my dream would be to house every homeless dog!

TREASURER | PIERRE

I'm Pierre Noraz, of French origin. I settled in Amsterdam in early 2022, spending the previous 10 years in Asia. I am a father of 3 and have been into triathlon since 2017. I started triathlon with an Olympic distance in 2016 just as a challenge with a friend. Now I'm into anything between sprint and 70.3!

I work for a bank, so I'm happy to try and make good use of my experience in similar situations as ATAC’s Treasurer.

IT Director | vacant

404: IT Director not found.
Our club systems are ticking over, but we’re missing the digital mastermind to help keep ATAC's tech running smoothly. If you're handy with websites, emails, and a bit of behind-the-scenes wizardry, step forward and reboot our IT team!

Running DIRECTOR | Cristi

I’m Cristi, originally from Romania, and have been living in the Netherlands since 2015—summers are my favourite! I started cycling in 2017 and joined ATAC that same year, trying to keep up with the club’s veterans on “social” rides. Soon after, I added running and swimming, and I’ve now been doing triathlon since 2021, completing several Olympic distances. Due to COVID, my first big races happened in 2022, including an Olympic in Haarlemmermeer and two 70.3s in Westfriesland and Almere. I’m now ATAC’s Running Director—not the fastest, but definitely consistent. See you soon on the track or trails!

communications DIRECTOR | bianca

Hi, I’m Bianca. I’m originally from Paris and joined ATAC in November of 2024 after discovering triathlon in an unexpected way. Three years ago, I was diagnosed with endometriosis. With no cure, my gynaecologist suggested trying something new to manage the symptoms—so I picked triathlon, despite never having done any sport before. And it worked! 🥳 ATAC quickly became my community, and I’m now proud to serve as Communications Director. I believe in the power of inclusive sport and the strength of community, and I’m passionate about creating spaces where everyone feels seen, respected, and inspired.

membership DIRECTOR | Enrique

Hi, I’m Enrique. I’m Mexican (with a Dutch passport) and have lived in Europe since 2007—most of that in Amsterdam. I joined ATAC in 2018 and returned in 2022, because it really is the best triathlon club in the city! I’ve been doing triathlon since 2006, after being challenged by some ex-coworkers, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ve completed two full Ironman races, several half distances, and many Olympic and sprint triathlons. I love how triathlon keeps me fit, focused, and healthy. People say you have to walk before you run—I say, swim and bike first!

Cycling director | arnout

Hi, I’m Arnout. I’m Dutch and rejoined life in the Netherlands in summer 2024 after 13 years abroad, most recently in Japan. I was searching for a triathlon club with an international spirit—and found ATAC. My journey into triathlon started after knee surgery ended my marathon-running days. I wasn’t fast enough to keep up with the cyclists, so I figured I’d mask my lack of talent by doing all three sports instead! I love discovering new places, people, and ideas—both through travel and through sport.

triathlon DIRECTOR | EMMA

I’ve lived in Amsterdam since 2017, and got into triathlon during the pandemic—swimming outdoors, cycling around the closed borders of the Netherlands, and adding these to the marathon running. I joined the ATAC Mallorca camp and realised transitions weren’t so scary after all. Since then, I’ve completed sprint, olympic, half, and full-distance triathlons. I’ve also run over 35 marathons across 30 countries and 5 continents. Outside of training, I’m always up for skiing, diving, trekking, or whatever adventure comes next.

swimming DIRECTOR | fernando

Hi, I’m Fernando. I’m originally from São Paulo, Brazil, and I joined ATAC in 2021 after moving to Amsterdam. Like many, I came to triathlon through injury—my knees nudged me from running into cycling, and eventually swimming too. It turns out, I loved the mix. I’ve been part of the club ever since, now serving as Swimming Director. I’m passionate about helping others feel confident in the water and enjoy the sport. Inspired by the strength and kindness of my grandparents, I believe sport is as much about community and joy as it is about performance.

SOCIAL Director | lotte

Hi, I’m Lotte. I’m Dutch and moved to Amsterdam in 2013—fell in love with the city and never left. Growing up in the countryside, I’ve always loved outdoor sports like running, cycling, sailing, and especially skiing. Thanks to Lorna Wilson, I got into triathlon and joined ATAC in 2018 “just to do one sprint”… but I got hooked. Since then, I’ve done sprints, Olympic distances, 70.3s, and even qualified for the Ironman World Championships in Utah—an unforgettable experience. As ATAC’s Social Director, I love bringing people together.
