ATAC Swim Session
Weekly ATAC Swim sessions for 2017
Season 1: 1 January to 31 May
Season 2: 5 September to 31 December
With the positive results of last year's pilot we are continuing the ATAC Swim Sessions on Tuesday nights.
The sessions will be very much in line with the Monday Night Interval sessions in the Vondelpark. Once a month a technique session and the remainder of the sessions making use of a training schedule (with a different swim set every week, e.g. different exercises, different strokes, etc.) in which we further improve technique, as well as speed and stamina. Lanes will be divided by swim capability. All levels are welcome!
Make sure you are arrive 10-15 mins early as there will be no one attending the cash register at this time and we will need to let ourselves in. If you are late, make yourself known by waving through the windows to the athletes who have arrived already.
Due to cost that come with renting the pool, we can’t just make this an ordinary MeetUp event and wait who shows up. Interested athletes will need to pay upfront for the sessions in order to secure their spot in the pool.
- The cost will be 80 Euro per person for 8 sessions.
- We will allow walk-ins at a rate of 12,50 Euro per session (reserve through MeetUp) to give it a try and see whether you want to join the sessions for a longer period.
If you want to sign up for the entire set or have any questions please contact Jos van Losser at firstname.lastname@example.org
SportPlaza Mercator, Jan van Galenstraat 315, Amsterdam

Open Water Swimming
Depending on the temperature, and usually beginning around the end of May, ATACers can be found at Sloterplas on Tuesday evenings at 19:00 for Open Water Swim sessions. These sessions typically last 1 hour and range in distance from 1k to 4k.
Members are free to post information about the swim sessions they’re going to on the meetup site. You’ll often find one or two other members will be happy to keep you company during your early morning swims.
